OPC 2021: A YEAR OF CONNECTIONS

As we near the end of 2021, and embark on 2022, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for a year of helping OPC create community and deeper connections between artists and audiences throughout the country.

Together we successfully developed daring theatrical voices who are helping us imagine and build a better future for all.

IN THIS YEAR OF CONNECTIONS, WE...

Empowered 14 visionary playwrights developing cutting edge new plays through OPC's two multi-phase online programs.

Collaborated with 100+ talented directors, dramaturges, actors, composers and creative consultants in bringing these playwrights' powerful works to life.

Engaged over 1,200 audience members from coast to coast in the OPC developmental process.

Produced a virtual benefit celebration, featuring 30 extraordinary artists sharing inspiring stories and songs about "connections" with viewers around the globe.

Benefit artists included Eileen Galindo, Richard Montoya/Culture Clash, Brian Cox, James and Seamus Morrison, Danai Gurira and many others!

As we approach 2022, we are actively planning our 25th anniversary season with an exciting line-up of new plays AND an "in-person" gala that will celebrate 25 years of OPC's accomplished history and move us decisively into a bright and creative future.
